When I was in Hawaii, surrounded by all the delicious American treats, I asked you which American inspired recipe you would like to see on my blog. I was thinking between chocolate chip cookie, brownie or chocolate fudge. Well, you guys went all crazy for the brownie and here I am!
As always I like to keep my recipes easy, simple and with the minimum ingredients required. Five simple ingredients (tahini, coconut oil, rice malt syrup, raw cacao, chocolate chips) to have a low carb, low sugar, gluten free, dairy free, nuts free dessert to keep in the fridge every time you’ll crave something sweet.
Of course this is not the traditional brownie recipe but you know how much I like to mix and match things. I think I am going to call this Tahini Brownie Fudge Squares.
You will be surprised by the main ingredient that I used, tahini. I have found out about tahini when I decided to stop buying industrial hummus and make my own. Tahini can be also used as a dip, spread, seasoning… and as a crucial ingredient to create amazing and healthy desserts!
Tahini is made from ground sesame seeds and it is part of the Middle Eastern culinary tradition. It has a slightly earthy taste and it is extremely creamy. The perfect texture for baking!
I hope you will like this recipe as much as my partner and colleagues did!
